Darin Deaton is a founder and senior partner of Riata Therapy Specialists. He graduated from The School of Physical Therapy at Texas Woman’s University with his Bachelor and Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy in 1990 and 1991. He also is an APTA Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and Certified Associate Ergonomist. He has lectured at the College level and presently serves as an Adjunct faculty member to the TWU-DPT Program. Darin has also served as the PT Member of the Medical Advisory Committee to the Texas Workers Compensation Commission, Governmental Affairs Committee of the TPTA, and the Advisory Board of TCC PTA program. He has lectured on a local and national level and taught continuing education in the field of orthopedics, industrial medicine and governmental affairs. Darin is presently working on his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Boston University Sergeant School of Allied Health Science. He has professional interests in the areas of exercise, sports performance, manual therapy, evidenced based treatment interventions, ergonomics, industrial safety and intervention. Darin has personal interests which include his wife, three daughters, church service, ministry, serving on social/business organization boards, fitness training, outdoor extreme sports, hunting, fishing and motorcycle riding.
